Stage and screen star Neil Patrick Harris will receive the Trevor Project's 2009 Life Award at the organization's holiday gala, Cracked Xmas 12, to be held at The Wiltern Theatre, in Los Angeles on Sunday, December 6. The award will be presented to him by two-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Probst.

The evening will also feature comedy and musical performances. In addition, AT&T will be honored with the Trevor Hope Award. The Trevor Project is a national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

Harris recently served as the host of both the Tony Awards and the Emmy Awards. He stars on CBS' How I Met Your Mother and his stage credits include Assassins, Rent, and All My Sons. In related news, Harris will also be featured as one of the voices in CBS's new animated Christmas special Yes, Virginia, that will air on December 11, according to Entertainment Weekly. Voice talents will also include Jennifer Love Hewitt, Alfred Molina, and Beatrice Miller.
